USCIS: COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements
Effective Oct 1, 2021, immigrants applying for adjustment of status with USCIS must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. USCIS requires a medical exam conducted by an authorized doctor and other vaccinations (such as polio, tetanus, measles) for applications of permanent residence. There are some important exceptions to this vaccination requirement. If the vaccination is not age appropriate or the vaccination cannot be given for medical reasons; or there is a limited supply of vaccination. There is also a waiver if the applicant refuses vaccination based on religious or moral convictions. The applicant must submit a waiver form along with the application packet to qualify.
